A Note about Recent Protests in Haiti

As you may have heard, Haiti is currently gripped by protests in response to rising inflation and growing economic difficulties in the country. However, SBH continues to operate as normal, delivering the reliable, high-quality care that the people of southern Haiti depend on. We are grateful that Fond des Blancs remains a safe, peaceful place for our patients. 

Thanks to our dedicated staff and supporters, the leadership team has been able to keep the hospital operating smoothly, even when delivery of supplies is delayed due to protests. We have plenty of fuel, food, and medical supplies, and the hospital staff continues to work around the clock to ensure each patient who walks through our doors receives the care they need.

While the political situation saddens us, we remain proud of the work we are doing and the lives we save, no matter what.
