One of our youngest supporters went to great lengths to raise money for the hospital this spring. Fourteen-year-old Daisy Parker of Falmouth, Maine organized a walk-a-thon for HEI/SBH in her hometown. “I was inspired to hold the walk because when I went to Haiti with my mom and grandmother in 2014 and 2015, I felt that I wanted to do something to help,” says Daisy, who was particularly inspired by our care for mothers and newborn babies.
Over 50 participants raised money and walked a seaside loop around Falmouth in support of HEI/SBH. Daisy’s walk-a-thon raised nearly $5,000 to help support our Maternal and Neonatal Health Center and all of our work. Thank you, Daisy, for your passion and commitment to supporting the hospital and the people of southern Haiti!
