Physicians For Haiti works to improve Haitian medical care by empowering Haitian medical professionals through medical education. Their partnership with St. Boniface has spanned years, and to date, they’ve supported several St. Boniface staff members in attendance at U.S. conferences, sent down a range of topic-specific educators, helped refine the nursing protocols and provided CPR and basic first aid training for the staff.
In this photo you can see Aaron Berkowitz, who is a neurology resident at the Brigham and Women’s/MGH joint program. He is providing education to St. Boniface staff on neurological topics and seeing patients with neurological issues.
Berkowitz and James Hudspeth, an internist at Boston Medical Center, are visiting Fond des Blancs this week. Many thanks to Physicians For Haiti for their continued partnership over the years.
