SBHF Introduces Vaccine into Haiti

The year-long Comvax project began with an offer from pharmaceutical company Merck to Direct Relief International, one of St. Boniface’s on-the-ground partners in Haiti. Merck offered to donate thousands of vaccines, provided they would be brought safely through customs, stored at optimal temperatures and authorized by the Ministry of Health—the latter being protocol when new vaccines are introduced into a country.
