Other Ways to Give

In addition to more traditional cash and planned gifts, there are many ways to support HEI/SBH through gifts of property, corporate matching programs, and other donation vehicles.

Donate Your Car or Other Property

Donating your used car can provide support to Health Equity International while getting rid of a car you no longer need. To donate your car to Health Equity International please go through Donate for Charity, a respected car donation program that makes it easy to donate the value of your car to our organization. Select “Health Equity International” in the “Charity Information” section on the car donation form

Interested in donating other property, including real estate? Please contact our development team at 617-244-9800.

Direct IRA Charitable Contributions

Are you 70 1/2 or older? If so, and you don’t think you will need all the income you are required to withdraw from your IRA this year, you might want to take advantage of the newly-reinstated IRA Charitable Rollover provision in the US tax code. Individuals 70 1/2 and older can transfer up to $100,000 each year from an individual retirement account directly to a qualified charitable organization like Health Equity International, saving on income taxes and satisfying all or part of your minimum distribution requirements.

Workplace Giving

Many companies offer workplace giving programs, which provide an easy way to make charitable contributions on a regular basis via payroll deductions. Health Equity International is a participant in Massachusetts COMECC (#700696). If you are interested in setting up a workplace giving program at your employer, please contact our development team at 617-244-9800.

In-Kind Donations

Health Equity International welcomes in-kind gifts provided they match our current needs. If you are interested in donating medical equipment, supplies, or other materials, please call our Supply Chain Manager at 617-244-9800 to discuss our needs and the in-kind donation process. Please do not send any material donations without contacting our office first.
